Our Friends!!!

Friendships are formed in many different ways, however one thing always remaining constant is that friends are a source of support, love, trust, fun, and many more things. Finding a good friend is the goal of many; it is about having people to celebrate life with or just a shoulder to cry on when you experience hardships. Friends are the silver lining in situations that are less than ideal. One of our biggest strength through the years has been having a strong support system made up of amazing women (ok and maybe men too). In many occasions we have heard our family, co-workers, and even strangers express that our biggest gift is the fact that we have each other, and there is so much power in that.

When you look at the name of the first collection we are doing at Basic Gal, you may wonder why it was created. I guess we wondered that ourselves, when we spent hours brainstorming on what our first collection should be. Here is a bit of background for you to understand how the “Friends Collection” was born. By now you may already know that we, the owners, have been best friends for over a decade. What you must now know is that we are independent women who have been inspired by other rocking women in our lives. Therefore, when we thought about the collection that would launch Shop Basic Gal, our friends and other key people in our lives won over all the other ideas that we pondered.

Just like that! Basic Gal’s first collection came to live, and you can now witness the unique and beautiful pieces yourself when you browse through our website. Each one of the pieces has been named after our “gals”. Friendship has played a key role in our lives, and we have become the women we are today in great part thanks to the support of our friends and family. Therefore, it was only fitting to name our carefully selected pieces after all the wonderful women who have influenced us and supported us through out. We hope you enjoy the Friends Collection, and when you choose a piece, know that its name holds a dear meaning to us, because that gal holds a piece of our heart, and has a significant place in our lives.
